The company behind the systems
Rational Pivot is a data and AI consultancy for businesses that want the leverage without the hype. This page is the part we usually skip: who we are, how we're structured, and why the company exists at all.
The original company, revived
Rational Pivot came first. The work that followed — years of building data pipelines, reporting systems, and automation inside real businesses — kept teaching the same lesson: the tool was never the hard part. Knowing which problem deserved one was.
That lesson eventually became a delivery company. Digital Task Rabbit grew out of the work clients kept asking for by name: defined scope, fixed price, a done date.
Rational Pivot returns as what it was always becoming: the strategy layer. The place where the question isn't "can you build this?" but "should anything be built at all — and if so, what?"
Two companies, one discipline
Rational Pivot is the strategy and systems layer. It finds the leverage point, designs the multiplier, and stays accountable for whether the thing actually worked. Engagements are advisory, evidence-led, and instrumented from day one.
Digital Task Rabbit is the delivery layer. When the work is already defined — a build with a clear scope, a fixed price, and a done date — DTR executes it. Its own team, its own site, its own standards.
The seam between them is deliberate. Strategy that also sells you the build has a conflict of interest baked in; delivery that also bills for strategy pads the invoice. Keeping them separate keeps both honest. When an engagement needs to cross the seam, you'll be told — in writing, with the reasoning.
The founder
Rational Pivot was founded by Glenn Harmon. The systems on the proof page are his work and the work of teams he led — built, shipped, and still running.
The company's operating principles — evidence before commitment, small reversible steps, everything instrumented, verification over claims, decisions in writing — aren't a brand exercise. They're how he works, written down and made institutional.
What we believe
- AI isn't the thing. It's the thing that gets you to the thing — and the thing is your business.
- The recommendation is the product. It has to survive contact with your evidence, or it's worthless.
- Sometimes the answer is a hire, a process change, or nothing. You'll hear that from us, in writing.
Find your pivot.
One working session. Bring the problem that keeps resurfacing. Leave with ground truth on where your leverage actually is.
